Pre-Owned Engine Policy
All pre-owned engines are tested prior to listing and are confirmed to be in proper operating order.
For best engine fitment, please have the engine serial number and make/model number of your machine ready prior to purchase. In most, but not all cases we can confirm the original application of the engine and provide the make/model of the application in the engine’s description.
Several of our engines are cross-compatible with other applications and may include additional compatible part numbers as provided by the OEM manufacturer. However, we cannot guarantee compatibility beyond the engine’s original application.

When available, listings will include video of the exact engine advertised in operation. Thumbnail photos for each pre-owned engine listing are representative of the engine and may not be photos of the exact engine listed. Photos of the exact engine are available upon request. Shipping is free on all pre-owned engines within the contiguous United States. With some exceptions (i.e., Vanguard engines), all pre-owned engines are shipped LTL and crated prior to shipment. If liftgate service is needed or the product is to be delivered to a residential address, please contact our sales team at (800) 969-0175 for further arrangements. Free local pickup is available upon request.
Returns and Exchanges
All pre-owned engines have a 30-day return policy. We will not accept returns or exchanges after 30 days from the date of the invoice.
Returns and exchanges must be inspected by us before an exchange or credit can be issued and are considered void if any original parts are removed or replaced. Return inspection will cover if oil or coolant is missing from the engine, overheating, and if any foreign matter has been introduced into the fuel, coolant, or intake system. Failure to meet these standards may incur a restocking fee or void the credit altogether. We cannot accept returns or exchanges on any parts that have been used or damaged in any way.
Return shipping is paid for by the customer, including exchanges for incorrect engine fitment. If the engine is determined to be defective prior to shipment, the customer will be refunded the shipping costs once inspection is completed. Returns that pass inspection where no replacement is available/requested carry a restocking fee of 20% of the original sale price. All returns and exchanges must be accompanied by the original invoice.
If you receive an order from us that has been damaged during the shipping process, you must file a claim with the freight carrier as soon as possible and notify us within five business days. Always save the original packing materials for inspection to provide evidence during a claim.
